Grandville Christmas Parade
Friday, December 6, 2019@ 7:30 p.m.
This year’s parade once again promises to provide an evening filled with Holiday magic and cheer. The night begins with a pre-parade stop in the Franklin St. Corridor for refreshments$, Reindeer viewing, Dickens Carolers, North Pole houses, photo stops, a short ride on the Holiday Train (free, but lines may be long) and a warm up around the fireplace. Then event goers can line the parade route on Fayette (between Maple and Chicago Dr.) and down Chicago Dr. (between Fayette and Wilson) to enjoy our Grandville Marching Band, local dance and cheer troops, Christmas characters, and numerous floats – all alight. Plan now to attend this special Holiday tradition – welcoming the season with your neighbors, family, and friends.
Looking for a way to care for others this Christmas season? Consider helping Mattyhsse Kuiper DeGraaf fill their fountain with toys for children who have lost loved ones this year. Donations can be dropped at the Memory Tree the evening of the parade or at 4145 Chicago Drive the evening of the parade and through the month of December.
Want to secure your parade spot early but don't want to keep your kiddos in the cold for too long? Consider joining the Christmas storytime inside Kregel Parable from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Additional info to follow. FREE.
Want some fun family photos? Arrive early to the festivities and capture your little ones with Rudolph and Frosty or with the Grinch and the Abominable Snowman (photo ops in the corridor). Homestead Realty will also be offering photos with Santa inside his storefront from 5:45 - 8:30. All photos are FREE. Bring your own camera.
