The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing land use development activities within the City of Grandville. They ensure that Grandville is developed in a manner consistent with all the goals and direction of the City's Master Plan and in compliance with the Zoning Ordinance.

Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) meets to receive, review, and decide on applications for variances, or relief, from specific sections of the Zoning Ordinance. Decisions are based on a review of a set list of standards that must be met in order to grant a variance. Notices are mailed to all properties within 300 feet of the application address and a public hearing is held.
Applications must include:
- Completed application form
- $350 filing fee
- Drawing identifying the request
- Narrative explaining the request in detail including how the request meets the standards
