Grandville Christmas Parade
Friday, December 6, 2019. Parade @7:30 p.m. Pre-parade activities 6:00 - 7:15 pm.
This year’s parade once again promises to provide an evening filled with Holiday magic and cheer. To help with crowd frustration, we have added a second pre-parade party spot down in the MKD parking lot. Choose to begin the night there to view the reindeer, donkeys, goats, and Christmas camel. Take a ride through the inflatable Christmas land (free, but lines may be long), purchase refreshments from their market stand, and enjoy Encounter Church performing holiday music on stage. Or, start your eveining with a pre-parade stop in the Franklin St. Corridor where you can visit the North Pole houses, get your photo taken with Rudolph, Frosty, the Gingerbread Boy and the Ever popular Grinch, take a short ride on the Holiday Train (free, but lines may be long), tie a ribbon on the Memory Tree, and a warm up around the fireplace. Finally, line the parade route down Chicago Dr. (between Fayette and Wilson) to enjoy our Grandville Marching Band, local dance and cheer troops, Christmas characters, and numerous floats – all alight. Plan now to attend this special Holiday tradition – welcoming the season with your neighbors, family, and friends.
Please note: The Christmas Camel will leave the MKD lot at 7:15 to stage for the parade.
Please note: The Christmas Characters will leave the photo stop at 7:15 to stage for the parade. They will return post-parade until 8:30.
Looking for a way to care for others this Christmas season? Consider helping Mattyhsse Kuiper DeGraaf fill their fountain with toys for children who have lost loved ones this year. Donations can be dropped at the Memory Tree the evening of the parade or at 4145 Chicago Drive the evening of the parade and through the month of December.
Want to secure your parade spot early but don't want to keep your kiddos in the cold for too long? Consider joining the Christmas storytime inside Kregel Parable from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Additional info to follow. FREE.
Want some fun family photos? Arrive early to the festivities and capture your little ones with Rudolph, Frosty, the Gingerbread Boy, or the ever popular Grinch. Find them by the fireplace from 6:00-7:15 and again post-parade - 8:30. All photos are FREE. Bring your own camera.
Homestead Realty will also be offering photos with Santa inside their storefront from 5:45 - 8:30. All photos are FREE. Bring your own camera.
