Summer Tax Bills

Summer tax bills are mailed to property owners July 1st.  The final day for accepting tax payments without penalty is August 31^st.  Please understand that postmarks cannot be accepted as date of payment.  If payment is not received at the lock box, the Treasurer’s Office, or the parking lot drop box by 5:00 PM on the due date, a 4% penalty must be assessed regardless of the circumstances.

Winter Tax Bills

Winter tax bills are mailed to property owners December 1^st.  The final day for accepting tax payments without penalty is February 14th.  Please understand that postmarks cannot be accepted as date of payment.  If payment is not received at the lock box, the Treasurer’s Office, or the parking lot drop box by 5:00 PM on the due date, a 3% penalty must be assessed regardless of the circumstances. 

Delinquent Tax Bills

On March 1^st all delinquent real property taxes are turned over to Kent County for collections, therefore, the City does not collect unpaid real property taxes after February 28^th.
