Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals is a seven member board with two
alternates. They receive, review and decide on applications for
variances, or relief from specific sections of the Zoning Ordinance.
Decisions are based on a review of a set list of standards that must
be met in order to grant a variance. The Board meets the third
Wednesday of each month, if an application has been submitted at
7:30 PM in the Council Chambers. Notices are mailed to all
properties within 300 feet of the applicant address and a public
hearing is held.
Applications must include the completed application form, a $250
filing fee, a drawing identifying the request and a narrative
explaining the request in detail and how the request meets the
standards.
