CITY OF GRANDVILLE
REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2010
The
Grandville City Council Regular Meeting of October 11, 2010 was
called to order by Mayor James Buck at 7:05 pm.
Present were Council Members Randal Gelderloos, Steve Kauffman,
Steve Maas, Joshua Meringa, Carole Pettijohn, and Mayor James Buck.
Absent: Council Member Dick Richards.
Also
attending: Tammy Hopman, Treasurer/Finance Director; Kenneth
Krombeen, City Manager; Mike May, Fire Lieutenant; Mary Meines, City
Clerk; and Dennis Santo, Police Chief.
Council Member Meringa gave the invocation; and was followed by the
Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported by Council Member
Pettijohn, to approve the October 11, 2010 agenda removing Item #1
under the City Manager’s Report. The motion was APPROVED.
Motion made by Council Member Gelderloos, supported by Council
Member Meringa, to waive the reading of the minutes of the Regular
Meeting of September 27, 2010 and approve as presented. The motion
was APPROVED.
Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported by Council Member
Pettijohn, that bills for Fiscal Year 2010-2011 totaling $323,658.33
as presented by the City Manager, be allowed and authorize the
Treasurer to pay the same. The motion was unanimously APPROVED by
roll call vote.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Sandy LeBlanc gave an update on the Grandville Jenison Chamber
activities.
Brad Kallio, 2735 Woodbine, spoke on the energy future for
Grandville.

Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported by Council Member
Gelderloos, to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. The motion
was APPROVED.
CITY MANAGER REPORT
Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported by Council Member
Gelderloos, to excuse the absence of Council Member Richards. The
motion was APPROVED.

ADJOURNMENT
Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported by Council Member
Kauffman, to adjourn at 7:48 pm to Executive Session for the purpose
of discussion of pending litigation and collective bargaining. The
motion was unanimously APPROVED by roll call vote.
