CITY OF GRANDVILLE

REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING

MONDAY, JUNE 14, 2010

The Grandville City Council Regular Meeting of June 14, 2010 was called to order by Mayor James Buck at 7:00 pm.

Present were Council Members Randal Gelderloos, Steve Kauffman, Steve Maas, Joshua Meringa, Carole Pettijohn, Dick Richards and Mayor James Buck. Absent: None

Also attending: Kenneth Krombeen, City Manager; Matthew Butts, Assistant City Manager; Mary Meines, City Clerk; Randy Kraker, City Attorney; Dennis Santo, Police Chief; and Dan Steere, Deputy Police Chief.

Pastor Doug Wood, Grace Bible Church, gave the invocation; and was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported by Council Member Gelderloos, to approve the June 14, 2010 agenda as presented. The motion was APPROVED.

Motion made by Council Member Richards, supported by Council Member Meringa, to waive the reading of the minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 24, 2010 and to approve as presented. The motion was APPROVED.

Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported by Council Member Pettijohn, that bills for Fiscal Year 2009-2010 totaling $457,996.00 as presented by the City Manager, be allowed and authorize the Treasurer to pay the same. The motion was unanimously APPROVED by roll call vote.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Stan Greene of Home Repair Services of Kent County gave a presentation on the HRS Foreclosure Assistance program available free to all Kent County residents.

CONSENT AGENDA

Chief Santo gave a presentation of the 2009 Police Department Annual Report.

Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported by Council Member Meringa, to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. The motion was APPROVED.

CITY MANAGER’S REPORT

City Manager Krombeen presented a Personnel Policy regarding Health and Hospitalization. The Policy will be presented for adoption at the June 28 meeting.
