CITY OF GRANDVILLE

REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING

MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2009

The Grandville City Council Regular Meeting of October 26, 2009 was called to order by Mayor James Buck at 7:00 pm.

The City Clerk called the roll. Present were Council Members Ken Gates, Randal Gelderloos, Steve Maas, Joshua Meringa, Carole Pettijohn, Dick Richards and Mayor James Buck. Absent: None

Also attending: Tammy Aue, Treasurer/Finance Director; Matthew Butts, Assistant City Manager; Randy Kraker, City Attorney; Ken Krombeen, City Manager; Mary Meines, City Clerk; Dennis Santo, Police Chief and, Dan Steere, Deputy Police Chief.

Pastor Doug Wood, Grace Bible Church, gave the invocation; and was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported by Council Member Gelderloos, to approve the October 26, 2009 agenda as presented. The motion was APPROVED.

Motion made by Council Member Meringa, supported by Council Member Pettijohn, to waive the reading of the minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 12, 2009 and to approve as presented. The motion was APPROVED.

Motion made by Council Member Gates, supported by Council Member Richards, that bills for Fiscal Year 2009-2010 totaling $560,222.59 as presented by the City Manager, be allowed and authorize the Treasurer to pay the same. The motion was unanimously APPROVED by roll call vote.

CONSENT AGENDA

Items presented under the Consent Agenda included:

1. Reports: DPW (Quarterly), PA 198 (2009), Summer Recreation (2009),

Investments (September)

2. Minutes: Park and Recreation (October 1)

Planning Commission (October 7)

3. Miscellaneous Purchase Orders and Requests:

a. Motor Pool: Vehicle Disposal – 2005 Crown Vic Police Package - $1,600.00

b. Motor Pool: Vehicle Disposal – 2004 Ford Expedition - $3,500.00

Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported by Council Member Gates, to approve the Consent Agenda as presented in the best interest of the City. The motion was unanimously APPROVED by roll call vote.

CITY MANAGER’S REPORT

City Manager Krombeen and Finance Director Aue gave a presentation on the City’s finances.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion made by Council Member Gates, supported by Council Member Gelderloos, to adjourn at 8:11 pm. The motion was APPROVED.
