CITY MANAGER’S REPORT
City
Manager Krombeen presented a policy to change the administrative
retiree health insurance. Currently the cost for health insurance
for administrative retirees between the ages of 60 and 65 is paid
for by the City. The administrative group is the only non-union
group within the City. The union groups are capped at the cost at
the time of retirement. The proposed policy would limit the City’s
cost of coverage in effect at the time of retirement for the
administrative group.
Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported by Council Member
Gates, to excuse Council Member Richards. The motion was APPROVED.
