City Council Minutes
The Regular Meeting of the Grandville City
Council was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Carole Pettijohn on
February 27, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
The City Clerk called the roll.
Present were Council Members Ken Gates, Steve Maas, Carole
Pettijohn, Stan Ponstein, and Joe Sierawski. Absent:
Council Member Robert DeWitt and Mayor James Buck.
Also attending: Tom
Guinther, Treasurer/Finance Director; Randy Kraker, City Attorney;
Ken Krombeen, City Manager; Mary Meines, City Clerk; and Vern
Snyder, Police Chief.
Council Member Maas gave the invocation; and
was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion made by Council Member Gates,
supported by Council Member Ponstein, to approve the February 27,
2006 agenda as presented. The motion was APPROVED.
Motion made by Council Member Maas, supported
by Council Member Gates, to waive the reading of the minutes of the
Regular Meeting of February 13, 2006 and to approve as presented.
The motion was APPROVED.
Motion made by Council Member Gates,
supported by Council Member Maas, that Fiscal Year 2005-2006 bills
totaling $272,446.04 presented by the City Manager, be allowed and
authorize the Treasurer to pay the same. The motion was APPROVED
unanimously by roll call vote.

COMMUNICATIONS OR PETITIONS
Motion made by Council Member Gates,
supported by Council Member Sierawski, to recognize the Grandville
Environmental Employees Association as the sole bargaining unit for
the wastewater employees of the City of Grandville.
The motion was APPROVED unanimously by roll call vote.
CONSENT
AGENDA
Motion made by Council Member Gates,
supported by Council Member Maas, to approve the Consent Agenda as
presented in the best interest of the City.

motion was APPROVED unanimously by roll call vote.
CITY
MANAGER’S REPORT
Motion made by Council Member Maas, and
seconded by Council Member Gates, to excuse the absence of Mayor
Buck and Council Member DeWitt.
The motion was APPROVED.
Moved by Council Member Maas, supported by
Council Member Gates, to adjourn at 7:11 p.m. The motion was
APPROVED.
