City Council Minutes

PROCEEDINGS OF THE
GRANDVILLE CITY COUNCIL 

Work session, March 31, 2003, in the Council Chambers. The meeting was called to order by Mayor James Buck at 6:15 p.m.

Present were Council Members Robert De Witt, Ken Gates, Steve Maas, Carole Pettijohn, Stan Ponstein (arrived at 7:00 p.m.), Joe Sierawski and Mayor James Buck.

Absent: None

Staff present: Michael Chesher, DPW Director; Thomas Guinther, Treasurer/Finance Director; Daniel Johnson, Assistant City Manager; Kenneth Krombeen, City Manager; Mary Meines, City Clerk; Richard Meyers, WWTP Superintendent; Dennis Santo, Deputy Police Chief; Vernon Snyder, Police Chief; Harvey Veldhouse, Fire Chief; Peter Versluis, 59th District Court Judge.

Opening remarks were made by Mayor Buck. City Manager Krombeen reviewed the process used in reviewing the budget and turned the meeting over to Treasurer/Finance Director Guinther.

Treasurer/Finance Director reviewed and discussed the following topics:

  • General Fund Balance
  • Non-General Fund Budgets
  • Capital Plan
  • General Fund Budgets
  • Millage Rates

Meeting adjourned at 10:10 p.m.
